If you spend hours a day in front of a computer, it's time to introduce yourself to the most comfortable way to work.

It started with a dream, a dream to create the perfectly comfortable office... As a software developer I spend many hours a day in front of a computer, and I found that I could work better when I was more comfortable. This started out as a laptop in a recliner but I quickly found that the amount of screen realestate was very limiting, so I started using an externally mounted monitor. One thing led to another and with the help of my handy friends Damon and Matt, we came up with the concept to build a mount that could be used by a recliner to setup a multiscreen environment over a recliner. The result is the OfficeCliner and now we want to share this with others who may be inspired to build their own setup. Please improve upon the idea and send us feedback and pics to inspire others.

The Story

The design for the mount came as a way to mount the Ergotron arm which gives much more precision in positioning and adjusting each monitor to the perfect position. We used galvanized threaded two inch pipe from Home Depot to build the base with a Union that allows the top arm to move horizontally into position.
